Top Workplaces 2024 Award

Adventist Health Portland was awarded a Top Workplaces 2024 honor by Oregon Top Workplaces based solely on employee feedback. The confidential survey measures employees’ feelings in several areas, including respect, support, empowerment and the ability to grow.

“Our team is deeply committed to love and service, which shines through not only in how they treat our patients but also in how they support and care for one another,” said Kyle King, President of Adventist Health Portland and the Oregon Service Area. “To me, that’s what truly sets this place apart—our people.”

Adventist Health Portland also has been recognized by Forbes as one of Oregon’s top employers with over 500 employees, ranking fourth overall and first among healthcare organizations in the state. This recognition underscores the dedication and care Adventist Health associates bring to both their patients and to each other every day. “At Adventist Health, it’s our associates and providers who make all the difference,” said King. “Their commitment to providing compassionate care and supporting one another is what truly sets us apart. This recognition reflects their hard work and the value they provide to our patients. We’re incredibly proud of our team for making Adventist Health one of the greatest places to work in Oregon.”

Joyce Newmyer, Adventist Health Chief People Officer, added, “Our associates and providers are at the heart of everything we do. Ensuring their well-being, personal growth and job satisfaction is integral to how we deliver compassionate care to the communities we serve.”

The recognition by Forbes adds to Adventist Health’s strong reputation as a leading healthcare provider in Oregon, comprised of three hospitals and more than 50 clinics serving the northern coast, east Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. The recent acquisition of Mid-Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles, now Adventist Health Columbia Gorge, has further expanded the organization’s reach in the state.
