Honoring Our Doctors

Thank you to all those who shared stories of their experiences with their Adventist Health Portland physicians in honor of Doctors’ Day (March 30). Our doctors loved to learn how their work is making a difference and read heartwarming words of gratitude, such as this note of thanks:
“I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. There is no history in my family, so it was quite a surprise considering that all my mammograms in the past were negative. I saw Dr. Ting for the first time for my initial visit and the first thing she told me was that she was so sorry that I was going through this journey. She was very detailed in how we could manage my care and when we left the visit she gave me a hug. Every time I saw Dr. Ting, she treated me with kindness, was very gentle and always disciplined in outlining what the future surgery would be. After surgery she left me with the knowledge that I could carry throughout my ongoing care. She is a most definite asset to Adventist, and I could not give her enough praise.”
