Volunteering: Small Commitment, Big Impact

A younger woman helps an older woman.

At Adventist Health Portland, everyone — including our volunteers — has a role that helps us care for others. Would you like to join us in our mission to inspire health, wholeness, and hope?

Our need for volunteers is great. During the summer we have an influx of wonderfully generous young adults volunteering at our hospital; however, many of them will return to school in the fall, leaving a void in volunteer services. Now is the time to come make a difference in your community by volunteering!

“One of the neat things about serving in our volunteer program is the connection to community and purpose. It’s a way to make a huge impact with a small commitment, one shift (four hours) a week. Volunteers connect with other volunteers, build relationships, and get to see the impact of their service immediately through their work with patients and staff,” noted Lauren Ashmore, Manager of Volunteer Services. If you are looking for connection and impact, volunteering is a wonderful way to achieve those goals.

Together we can improve our community’s health and well-being. Click here to sign up today!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our volunteer office by email or at 503-251-6114.
